Fireplace tips and ideas

I have an electric fireplace in my master bedroom that looks Like a real fire and even has a built in heater and fan for extra heat in the master bedroom if I need it. The fireplace sits on  a modern glass table that is actually made for electronics and only cost a hundred dollars. I have the electric fireplace sitting on top of the shelf and display family photos on the lower shelves.

For the low cost of an electric firebox and modern shelving unit the fireplace can be moved for easy cleaning and can be placed in different rooms as well.

I love the look of a fireplace set in the new stone walls that can be created at fairly low cost to improve the total look of a living space.  You can now buy a stone finished look on any wall in your home and do it yourself at relatively low cost because you don’t have to be a stone mason to install these new stones that just glue onto a wall without too much effort.

A real gas fireplace can cost thousands of dollars if you are adding a custom mantle and you will need real stonework from a licensed stone mason depending on the square footage of the room and chimney. If you are looking to have a wood stove or real fireplace installed in your home, you will also have the added cost of buying firewood and building a fire yourself, not to mention the constant cleaning that real wood will leave on your floors from the dirt and debris from real firewood.

I like the idea of electric fireplaces, they are so much cheaper than a real fireplace and look almost exactly the same as the real thing without the high cost.

If you are located in Ottawa Ontario, there is a web site that helps you find Ottawa fireplaces, Ottawa fireplace stores and Ottawa fireplace showrooms.
