Things to See & Do in the Bahamas
Definitely relaxing on the beach is high on your list of things to do in the Bahamas. There is a world of sites to see and things to do on many of the Islands of the Bahamas. A lot of tourists prefer Nassau, but personally I had an excellent time on Freeport. There were two main beaches; one that was on the Caribbean Sea and another, wilder Atlantic Ocean beach on the Lucayan side. Right down the road, in walking distance of our accommodations was the casino, the open air market and a variety of restaurants serving up some great food in an amazing environment.
On Nassau, other than the many casinos you might want to vist the Blue Lagoon Island. Here you can play with the dolphins for an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever. Visiting their site will provide all the details you need. The staff is amazing and the dolphins waiting to interact with you!
On the island of Freeport you can ride along the beach with Trikk Pony Adventures. We booked a trip with them and had the time of our lives. There are also nature tours, boats for rent and a variety of watersports activities. Whether you are on land or at sea, there is plenty to keep busy if you stay at any of the popular resorts or you may decide to stay on one of the smaller islands where sun bathing and lifting your drink are the activities of choice.
