If you’re planning on visiting San Fransisco anytime soon, there is a strong chance that you’ll be looking for something to do. Visiting the Exploratorium might be one of the best things you can do when you are visiting this beautiful west coast city. Among the things to do in San Francisco, this is undoubtedly one of the best, and it will provide you with many hours of entertainment, being a hands-on science museum inside the Palace of Fine Arts. The building itself is built in the Roman style, it it features an outdoor rotunda which happens to be one of San Francisco’s most photographed spots.

These cars will take you to various locations around the city, and you will more than likely find that it is much easier to use this form of transportation than it would be to drive through the city. In addition to that, it saves gas, so why not?

Within the park you will find the Japanese Tea Garden, the San Francisco Botanical Garden, and of course the California Academy of Sciences and Conservatory of Flowers. The Mission District is named after Mission Delores, which happens to be the oldest mission in the state. This is one of a few places that you will find authentic Mexican food, which means those who love to sample other cultures will undoubtedly want to stop at 16th and Valencia.
If you’re looking to fill your stomach, then you need look no further than Gorilla Pete’s hot dogs. This is a great restaurant that actually utilizes the stereotypical hot dog cart that you would see in many movies and video games. With street parking, this is truly an interesting place to visit, and it certainly provides that classic feel to those who seek it.
There are obviously plenty of other restaurants available in the area, some of which are quite elegant. Naturally you will have your delicatessens and your fine dining, and it should be noted that many of these places actually cater. You will more than likely not need a catering service during your visit, but it is always nice to have the option, as many will agree. As hard as it might be to believe, Gorilla Pete’s is actually well known for it’s catering, and it has many different menu items to choose from. Then again, you might be looking for something that is truly authentic to San Francisco, which you can typically find on Castro Street.
Castro street will provide a wide range of entertainment for virtually anyone, and it will accommodate those who happen to be looking for restaurants or even pubs. There is even an old movie palace for further entertainment. If you are planning to visit San Francisco, you most certainly need to as it will provide you with some idea of the San Francisco culture while giving you plenty to do during your visit.
